In this segment of the continuous “chemical in the cheap” series, technical grade hydrochloric acid cleaning – conveniently available at the centers per gallon for Home Improvements – with only three plastic containers with the work of about two minutes. The resulting hydrochloric acid is as pure as reagent grade acid. The disadvantage is that the process takes one or two weeks to the end, and the resulting acidic reagent is about 5 molar teeth instead of 12 typical commercial concentrated hydrochloric acid.
